The Anchored School is seeking a passionate and innovative Grades 4–6 Math Teacher who can make mathematics exciting, engaging, and meaningful through Project-Based Learning.
We are looking for an educator who believes that students learn best by doing—using games, hands-on activities, real-world problem solving, STEM challenges, and collaborative projects to build a strong foundation in mathematics.
Responsibilities:
- Teach math to students in Grades 4–6 using a Project-Based Learning approach.
- Design engaging lessons that promote critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving.
- Incorporate math games, manipulatives, technology, and interactive activities into daily instruction.
- Connect mathematical concepts to real-world applications and cross-curricular projects.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Foster a positive classroom environment where students feel confident taking risks and solving challenging problems.
- Assess student progress and provide meaningful feedback to support growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create interdisciplinary learning experiences.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (Texas teaching certification preferred).
- Experience teaching upper elementary or middle school math (Grades 4–6 preferred).
- Passion for Project-Based Learning and student-centered instruction.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Creative, energetic, and committed to helping every student develop confidence in math.
