Position Overview:
The Anchored School is seeking a passionate and nurturing 1st–3rd Grade Teacher to join our Christ-centered, project-based learning community. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, project-based lessons aligned with grade-level standards
- Integrate Christian faith and biblical principles throughout daily instruction
- Create a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
- Use differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs
- Encourage critical thinking, collaboration, and student-led inquiry
- Incorporate hands-on projects, STEM activities, literacy, and creative arts
- Maintain positive communication with parents and school leadership
- Support character development through Christian values and classroom expectations
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education
- Teaching certification (preferred but not required depending on experience)
- Experience teaching elementary-aged students (Grades 1–3 preferred)
- Strong understanding of or willingness to learn project-based learning methods
- Commitment to Christian faith-based education and values
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with KWL charts, thematic instruction, or Montessori-inspired practices
- Ability to integrate arts, STEM, and life skills into daily learning
- Passion for hands-on, student-centered instruction
- Team-oriented and adaptable in a growing school environment

Compensation: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
